Dems, Romanoff continue fall ad buys

The totals: Ad buys in Denver, Colorado Springs and Grand Junction now total $22.7 million and 266.6 hours – that’s 11 days worth of solid political ad viewing. And it doesn’t include ads on cable television channels.

New this week: Democrats continue to buy time for the fall, and this week Democratic former state House Speaker Andrew Romanoff enters the market, reserving almost $600,000 in time for his 6th Congressional District race against GOP incumbent U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman. The House Majority PAC also significantly increased its buys on behalf of Romanoff to more than $846,000.

Tableau is this week’s graphic software choice; feedback in comments is welcome. This allows a look at ad buys by the month they begin in, which gives a good look at the Democratic advantage in October, though there’s still plenty of ad time available.
